The Story of a Photographer

My journey into the world of photography started like many, with the simple gift of a Kodak camera from my mother during my early years. Nestled among the breathtaking foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, a mere hour's drive from the awe-inspiring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, my childhood was imbued with a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.

However, life has its way of leading us down unexpected paths. Growing up in California should have meant that I was intimately acquainted with its splendors. In my early thirties, I found myself at a crossroads, standing between jobs and searching for a deeper purpose. It dawned on me that, amidst the hustle and bustle of work and daily responsibilities, I had been overlooking the incredible sights, tranquil moments, and the fascinating individuals who crossed my path. I realized that it was time to slow down and make a change by truly exploring the vast and diverse state that I call home. California, with its sprawling landscapes and varied terrains, is an artist's dream canvas. Each corner harbors its own unique beauty, a wealth of landscapes so diverse that it could take a lifetime to truly grasp them all. The state beckons travelers and photographers alike to explore its wonders.

And so, in October of 2015, Blue Corvus Photography emerged as a beacon of change in my life, marked by the acquisition of my second DSLR, the Canon 70D. It was the start of a new chapter, one in which I would capture the world's beauty through my lens and share it with others.

Through my lens, I endeavor to capture magnificent landscapes, inviting others to join me on this visually captivating journey. With every click of the shutter, I aim to convey not just the beauty that surrounds us but the emotions it evokes, the stories it whispers, and the moments it freezes in time.
